Today we did some experiments about erosion. we wrote something about you and got a new patern for the calinder it is line segments intersecting lines. Our math class was really short. We hardly did anything.

Today we went to the public library. The librarian told us about the way different books are organized at the library and different genres. When we got back to school we made a big graph out of our mini posters from last week. Mr. Trumbull lectured for a long time and made us take notes about the Constitution. Do you know who the "Father of the Constitution" is?

Today we went to the computer lab and printed posters to show our favorite books. We also wrote stories with a problem and a solution. Everybody wrote a story about the same picture. We also took our spelling tests.

Today we had music. We also went to the computer lab and learned how to print out pictures. We have a printing account and it costs 4 cents to print a black and white page. It costs 20 cents to print a color page. We read a short article about Shays's Rebellion. We also had to draw pictures to show how to solve super easy math story problems. They would have been easier to solve if we didn't have to draw pictures! We had a lot of fun. I hope we have fun tomorrow!

Today we had P.E.! We played sharks and Minos and Kickball. We had a lot of fun. We watched a video called Liberty Kids. It was about the Constitution. We got the first TFK of the year. We didn't have to do an assignment with it, we just read it for fun. Today we also did our first assignment in our math book. -Oliver

Today we had art. It was are first day painting! We also studied the U.S. Constitution and watched some videos. We also got math books and browsed through them. In Art it was our first day painting. We finished our hopes and reams and started free painting.

Today Joe accidentally put bulletin points and doesn't know how to get rid of it. We had to work on a story problem about who won a race in math class. We spent the whole time working on just that one problem! We also wrote short stories with our tables. How it worked was Mr.Trumbull drew a doodle and we had to change it into a doodle, and that would be the main character of the story. Then we passed it to the next person at our table and they had two minutes to write a story about it then we passed it again and again. We also got a extra recess yay!!
September 11 This morning ,today we went to music. We learned kaimarusa. Kaimarusa is a African song and dance. We also went to the computer lab, but were interrupted by picture day. On our class computers we played Fling the Teacher. it's a game where you answer questions about subjects and predicates. If you get the answers right you can build a catapult to fling the teacher in a barrel. We sang Mr. Morton before we played the game.
September 10 Today having we're having gym. We haven't yet but we will in a minute. It's going to be shorter today because of the 2 hr delay this morning. We used the class laptop computer for the first time today. There were enough for everyone to have one to use on their own right in the class. Mr. Trumbull had us practicing place value. We also made acrostic poems with our names today.

September 8 We didn't have a special today. We worked on a paragraphs about the article we read Scents of Justice. The partner critiqued our paragraphs. Today Mr. Gudgel came into our room. He taught us about solving conflicts and some of us acted out role playing situations. At the end of the day we listened to very loud inspiring music. It was being played so we would be quiet while we cleaned. It kind of worked. Josephine's hand got stuck to a cube today that we were working with in math. -Josephine and Joe

Today we had Art. We did our hopes and dreams for Art Class. Henry put that he hoped he'd do splatter painting and clay. We shared the final drafts of our team posters today and hung them up.They look good. Some of us were a little embarrassed to go up and share our posters in front of the class. We also an 11's test today. It was stressful because it was a 2 minute test and we had to hurry up and get done. Most of us finished it. The class did really well on it. In our morning meeting today we played Caught Red Handed. You had to pass student error removal devices. You tried to hide the eraser and someone had to guess who had them. It was really fun.
August 28
Today we made our journals into paper collages. We put mod podge and tissue paper and glued it on to the composition books. Also today, we went to Mr. H's library for a computer safety video. It taught us about how to be safe on the Internet and not give away private information to people you don't know. Later in the day we heard a song about multiplying our 11's. It was cheesy and catchy. Multiplying by 11's is easy. Multiplying by 11's is nice. If it's 9 or lower you just double the digit. If it's 10 to 18 you add the digits together and put it in the middle. -T and class
August 27 Today in class we took a math test. It was a test for the teacher to know what we already know about 4th grade math. It was frustrating because some of them were things I didn't know at all. It stressed me out. Today we are also having our first PE class. We haven't gone yet, but it sounds like fun. We got our first spelling packet today and did assignment #1. The words are all easy math words. I had a lot of fun today. -T and class
